There will be a special meeting today that will take place between CAF and three biggest football teams in South Africa which is Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates Mamelodi Sundowns and the association of South African football, which is SAFA.
This meeting comes after all these three football teams failed to play in the African countries because of the Covid-19 restrictions that those countries have. This started with Kaizer Chiefs a week ago where it had to cancel it's trip when they were supposed to go to Morocco and play againat Wydad Casablanca. And then the same thing happened to Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.
These foreign countries have strict restrictions because of the high number of Covid-19 cases hence the reason why these South African football teams are not allowed to play.
They have to play for the CAF champions League in order for them to qualify to compete for the CAF Confederations Cup.
