Confirmed: Sundowns signed a Pirates target player but didn’t unveil him to the public

Mamelodi Sundowns are not done with their squad as they’re constantly looking for different players on each department that can offer something different than what they already have at Chloorkop. This gets to show that Sundowns are planning and they want their team to dominate the DStv Premiership for the next couple of years. Even if they can have a couple of injuries and certain players struggling with their form, Sundowns have a massive squad that will resolve any challenges that are thrown their way. They’re taking their games seriously and would do anything possible to get a win.

Now, the Brazilians co-coach Rulani Mokwena has confirmed that they’ve managed to get the services of Pule Maraisane in their star-studded squad. Maraisane was in the books of the GladAfrica Championship side Cape Town All Stars last season. It was also believed that Orlando Pirates were keen on getting his signature. Unfortunately for the Buccaneers, he chose to move to Sundowns and carry on with his football career at Chloorkop. This has now ended all the speculations, since the talented midfielder’s future has been in question ever since he came back from his stint in Turkey. “We’ve signed Pule Maraisane, who is working extremely hard to get into the best physical condition,” said Mokwena talking to the media.

Furthermore, Mokwena has stated that they need all their players in their squad to be ready to play for Sundowns every time they’re given an opportunity. As it seems like the Downs technical team wants to rotate their players, as they will be involved in different games within the Premier Soccer League and even the CAF Champions League. They don’t want to overwork certain players at Sundowns, hence some will be rested on some games. “This is the work that we do here because we need every player, and there’s still a lot of them that will get more opportunities,” said Mokwena talking to the media on Sunday.
