Mayele will become the Chiefs' sixth acquisition in the current transfer window if these speculations are true.

Among the notable players that the Chiefs have lately signed are Dillon Solomons, Kamohelo Mahlatsi, George Matlou, Siyethemba Sithebe, Zitha Kwinika, Ashley du Preez, and Yusuf Maart. According to speculations, the squad would eventually concentrate on acquiring a striker, with Franck Etouga of Hearts of Oak initially being named as their primary target. The whispers, however, subsided when it was confirmed that the player would.

The 28-year-old Mayele, who was born in the DR Congo, finished the previous season with 16 goals and was ranked second among Yanga's leading goal scorers in Tanzania's top division. He was mentioned as a legitimate target for the Chiefs earlier this week, and if the reports of his signing with the team are accurate, they would have moved incredibly rapidly to do so.
