The PSL has a lot of history with foreign coaches and this has been happening for many decades. Coaches from all around the world usually wash up on our shores and some are memorable while others of forgettable. We've seen over the years not every coach who comes from overseas can thrive in the PSL and this is usually down to a number of factors.
This coach falls in the list of the more memorable mostly for the amount of time he spent in the PSL. He first arrived to coach Kaizer Chiefs back in 1999 and went on to spend 2 decades with his last stint with Maritzburg United in 2019. He is also on the elite list of coaches who have been in charge of both of the Soweto Giants, however his stint at Orlando Pirates will be one he'd want to forget.
Lebohang Manyama took to social media to share a birthday message to the Turkish. They worked together at Ajax Cape Town ans he was partly responsible for unearthing the star. The duo formed an amazing bond during their time in the Cape, however as fate would find it, the star ended up at Kaizer Chiefs only a couple years late of Muhsin's era.
He turned 62 years old and its safe to say that time is slowly slipping away. The last memory South Africans will have of him will be retiring on live television after losing by 6 goals, however he has also experienced his fair share of glory as he contributed to South African football and giving new talent the opportunity.
Lebohang Manyama could've picked a better picture to share his message, however the coach has become famous for his famous and animated expressions. He was definitely passionated when it came to the game and is probably one of the best out of all foreign coaches who have passed through the PSL over the years. He left the country and has been without a job since 2019, however he has the potential to return should on offer come foward, he spent 20 years in South Africa after all.
