Vasili: What The Agent Told Us About Truter

Vasili: What The Agent Told Us About Truter

Vasili Manousakis, a former assistant coach for AmaZulu FC, has spoken out about his time in Durban and the reasons behind his departure.

In March of this year, Usuthu and Benni McCarthy split, and it was anticipated that his assistants would do the same.

Manousakis, however, along with other players, stayed at the club until the end of the season, suggesting that they might join Brandon Truter's technical staff.

Sadly, their agreements with them were also broken.

Brandon Truter intended to bring his own technical staff to KwaZulu-Natal, according to Manousakis, who is currently a technical advisor at Richards Bay FC.

To be clear, Moeneeb Josephs and I left AmaZulu after our contracts were terminated, and an agent's explanation was that the coach had quit.We moved because we supported the coach's decision to bring his own technical team, Manousakis said to the Siya team. We must be clear: There was no loss of the dressing room; there were only frustrations because we lost games we could have won. It was a difficult season; if you recall, we finished second the previous year.

Even though we couldn't acquire the players we wanted because it was impossible to obtain them, the backing was good and we had a wonderful relationship with the President. They gave it their best effort, but we were unable to include everyone. I wish them luck going forward.
