Kaizer Chiefs and Kenya international midfielder part ways
Anthony Akumu Agay and Kaizer Chiefs have amicably decided to end his contract early. Chiefs had stated they were open to trade him, but as the club confirmed, the two sides have decided to split ways.
Kaizer Chiefs announced on their official website that they and Anthony Akumu Agay had mutually decided to end his contract early after first placing him on the transfer list.
The agreement was scheduled to end in June 2023.
The 29-year-old from Zambia's Zesco United joined Chiefs in January 2020, and in his 47 appearances for Chiefs across all competitions, he scored twice.

Between 2016 and 2020, Akumu, who played for Zesco United in the Zambian Premier League, enjoyed several great season He occasionally played center back for the Chiefs, did not quite fit in at Naturena.
