The highest paid player in the Premier Soccer LeagueKhama Billiat, has been heavily linked with a move to the Egyptian giants Al Ahly. Kaizer Chiefs have not yet extended his contract, which will expire when the current season ends.
Billiat has been linked with a reunion with Al Ahly's coach Pitso Mosimane. Billiat was sensational when he was still playing for Mamelodi Sundowns under the tutelage of Mosimane. But since he joined the Soweto giants, his form has dropped significantly and the management want to reduce his salary of R833 000 per month.
Billiat's agent has broken silence on rumours linking the Zimbabwean international with a move to Egypt. The agent said that Billiat is still contracted to Amakhosi, so any potential offers should be made to the club.
The agent further said that the club is currently focusing on getting him fit as he is nursing the injury, and if there are any negotiations about the move to Al Ahly, it will be announced.
