There is a chance that Mamelodi Sundowns will lose their promising striker to a club in Serbia.

Mamelodi Sundowns could earn R8.5 million if they agree to sell one of their strikers following interest from Serbia.

Despite being signed by Sundowns and then loaned out to the University of Pretoria for the past season, Nigerian forward Etiosa Godspower Ighodaro has yet to appear for the club.

At TUKS, Ighodaro (23) has shown promising form, attracting the attention of Partizan Belgrade.

The SuperLiga heavyweights comprise one-half of Serbia's most successful clubs, with Red Star Belgrade on the other end.

According to top Serbian publication Mozzart Sport, an offer of 500 000 Euros (approx. R8,5 million) will be tabled for the Nigerian, who has been extensively discussed.

There has been mention of Nigerians Taribo West, Umar Sadiq, Obiora Odita, and Ifeanyi Emeghara's previous success at the club.

Former Ajax Cape Town midfielder Seydouba Soumah played for the club, as did Eric Djemba Djemba after leaving Manchester United.

Ighodaro has previously dazzled in junior tournaments in Italy.

Etiosa is the younger brother of Osaguona Ighodaro, who has two Super Eagles caps and came through Abuja College.
