Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Willard Katsande with speculation of returning to Amakhosi in future

Willard Katsande could join the long list of ex-Kaizer Chiefs players who returned to the club to pursue a career in coaching.

As reported issue 1238 of Soccer Laduma, the veteran midfielder is believed to have been offered a role at Naturena when he does finally hang up his boots – and it’s thought he is being earmarked for a coaching position.

Whether that is with the senior team or within the youth structures of the club is not yet clear given that Katsande has recently joined Sekhukhune United after his Chiefs contract was not renewed when it expired on June 30.

Ryder Mofokeng, Doctor Khumalo, Ace Khuse, Brian Baloyi and Jimmy Jambo are some of the notable names with different responsibilities at the club as coaches in the senior team or as part of Chiefs’ youth development.

Kambala last year on this time, he was still polishing his boots to jump and his forehead to score. He always belonged to such teams in the first place he was very lucky to be part of chiefs most people who really understand football will get my point.

The way Sekhukhune is signing experience players it will end up in top 8 just like swallows even when people laughed them.where are this people who were saying Kasande must go? now he is gone so what is next.

Another one is current assistant coach Arthur Zwane, who was calling the shots in the reserve team before being promoted last season under Gavin Hunt and has kept his position under new coach Stuart Baxter, who returns for a second spell.

Chiefs was opening space for other signings especially younger foreign nationals to come. It wasn't about unfair release of him. When you're done with Skhukhune come back Kaizer Chiefs is your home we'll get you are job to pension on.
