Orlando Pirates co-caoch Fadlu Davids says the club technical team, has trust their young goalkeeper. As his been performing well.

Injuries to the Pirates number goalkeeper Richard Ofori and experienced campaigner Wayne Sandilands, have given an opportunity to Kopano Thuntsane to be be part of the first team. As second choice to Siyabonga Mpontshane. Davids say Thuntsane will be able to do the job if he is required.

Pirates is set to face Sekhukhune FC in the DSTV Premieship on Tuesday in the DSTV Premieship. Mpontshane is the only senior goalkeeper currently available for the Soweto giants. Which is something that also happened forwards the end of last season. When when Sandilands was the only goalkeeper available.

The 21-year-old is not the only reserve team player, currently training with the first team. Davids believe Thuntsane will play a crucial role for the club in the current season.

We have a set of young players that are playing in the DSTV Diski Challenge. The injury to Richard Ofori and Sandilands has given Thuntsane to be on the bench. But we are not afraid his performances have been good, Davids told The Citezen.
