UEFA Champions League

SA football ship 6 young stars to an Uefa champions League side.

South African football top academy the Kwa-Zulu Natal football academy is reported on to have shipped out 6 young players all born in 2003 to Primeira Liga champions Sporting Lisbon.

The young stars are expected to go on trials with the Portuguese top-flight giants for a specified period up until a decision is made on them.

The young players are Katlego Tjane, Ethan Trim, Sanele Zwane, Philasanda Khubeka, Mthokosizi Mdluli, Philasanda Manqele( Goalkeeper).

The Kwa-Zulu Natal football academy is famous for producing OS Belenenses SAD central midfielder Sphephelo Sithole and 2020 Tokyo Olympic star Thabo Cele who is reported on to have attracted interest from Pitso Mosimane's Al Ahly.

The academy is by far the best in South African football as they are able to send their players to Portugal to try their luck with the big teams.

South African football is currently struggling due to having no players in Europe's top five leagues, as currently there is only one player in the top 5 leagues which is Bafana Bafana international centre-forward Lebohang Mothiba.

He is playing for RC Strasbourg Alsace in French Ligue 1.

We wish all the six youngsters everything of the best in their trials.
