Mamelodi Sundowns - George Maluleka is heading to SuperSport United in the january transfer window?

At this present moment it seems Mamelodi Sundowns are just picking up where they left off last season where they basically dominated from start to finish

The Brazilians were so dominant last season they finished off the campaign 12 points clear of runners up Amazulu who themselves have not had quite a good start to this season

Perhaps maybe the only flaw that Mamelodi Sundowns are facing or have been facing for about a while is the issue of having too many players on board and therefore ruining a lot of fledgling careers

The reason for that is Mamelodi Sundowns can basically afford to pay the higest wages as well as the highest fees for any player that they want meaning at times they end up signing players in positions they don't need

And last season Mamelodi Sundowns had a number of top class players on the fringes who would have started for any other DSTV Premiership outfit including Kaizer Chiefs & Orlando Pirates

Those players just to mention a few are Grant Margeman, Lesedi Kapinga, as well as George Maluleka who made the move from Kaizer Chiefs before the end of the 2019/20 campaign

Of course although all the above mentioned players had not been entirely frozen out by Mamelodi Sundowns last season but they were not getting as much minutes on the pitch as they would have wanted to in an ideal world

None more so than George Maluleka who before making the move to Mamelodi Sundowns was an ever present starter for Kaizer Chiefs and is now basically a fringe player at Mamelodi Sundowns

But that kind of situation may just be coming to an end for George Maluleka as he is now being linked with a return to one of his former clubs in SuperSport United in a swap deal for top class midfield maestro Sipho Mbule

For about a year now Sipho Mbule has been subject of intense interest from both Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs as he looks to further his career and begin the cycle of winning trophies

It seemed at one point that Kaizer Chiefs were one of the front runners for Sipho Mbule's signature during the transfer window as they were thought to be closing in on the player's signature

But for now it kind of appears Mamelodi Sundowns are leading the race for one of the most talented midfield players in South African Football
