Watch|| Ex-Chiefs star goes from a Soccer superstar to a DJ

Preparing for life after football has not been easy for South African footballers as the majority of them struggles with life after football, the likes of Mbulelo Mabizela, Steve Lekoleoa, and Lerato Chabangu are just some of the former South African soccer stars that have went from stardom to poverty in an instance.

Former Kaizer Chiefs Football Club attacking middlefielder George Lebese has in the last few years worked hard to prepare for life after football, as his career in football was taking a downward spiral after moving to Chiefs arch-rivals Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club back in 2017 after a successful nine years stay at Chiefs.

His move to Mamelodi was not a successful one as during that period of time he moved to Sundowns Town rivals Supersport United Football Club on loan during the 2018/2019 season, which was followed by a move to the United States of America to join Colorado Springs Switchbacks Football Club in 2020.

His stay in the States wa cut short after the pandemic Covid-19 hit the world and upon his return to South Africa, he decided to part ways with the club and has since been clubless despite trying all his best to land a contract with one of the Premier Soccer League(PSL) clubs.

Lebese has since went on to launch his clothing brand Assets and restaurant come nightclub The Prestige Lifestyle Grand, alongside his wife Melba Nkosi Lebese.

Yesterday at his club they were celebrating his 33rd birthday and the former South African male senior national team player, again showcased his talent behind the deck as alongside one of the deejays on the day Lebese gave people the taste of his newfound career.

I think this shows that it is never too late to change career or try something new, as Lebese is certainly going to be a hit in the music industry.

Alongside his wife, they are building a dynasty that will sustain them for life.
