'We love him but the club will make a statement in due course' - Rulani Mokwena Shares

Everything comes to an end at some point ans this is the same when it comes to football. Players come and go, however few are special than the others and they always leave a much bigger mark on the hearts of fans. It is always sad to see player part with a club that has been close to his heart and has represented with great distinction, however it happens all around the world as we've also seen it with Lionel Messi leaving Barcelona FC.

Hlompho Kekana is one of the most accomplished players in the PSL and holds the ultimate feat of leading Mamelodi Sundowns a CAF champions league trophy. Things haven't been going for him in recent times since the departure of Pitso Mosimane. This could easily be explained by looking at his age and the new talent and depth in squad. There has also been a change with the ideology with the new men at the helm in Chloorkop.

Rulani Mokwena sat down for an interview with Thabiso Mosia on SA-FM. The Downs Co-coach discussed his team's amazing win against Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday and went on to touch on various issues. He responded to the reports of a squabble that took place within the camp and went to try and shed some light in Hlompho Kekana's situation at the club.

“We love Hlompho but the club will make a statement in due course. He deserves a lot of respect and honour and the club will address that at the right time” ~ @coach_rulani on the future of @Hlompho_Kekana at @Masandawana

Rulani Mokwena was quite diplomatic when it came to giving an indication on what the nest move will be for Hlompho Kekana. He shared that it isn't his business to discuss. This come after he was linked with a move to Moroka Swallows, however that crumbled as the transfer window shut and it will be interesting to see whether he will continue to play football or will be offered another role at Sundowns.

"It's not for me to speak about Hlompo's future but he's a serial winner and the club loves him. But we've had conversations privately which I can't share. The club will handle this and in time, his future will be clarified"
