The co-coach of Mamelodi Sundowns has complained about the lack of goals from one of its players who is a midfielder. Speaking to the press, the coach revealed that Haashim Domingo the striker has been getting regular game time but has yet to score goals for the club this season, he only has an assist for the club in the DStv Premiership.
Speaking to the press, Mokwena said that Domingo's role is different, and the club is happy with his contribution.
Momwena said that his game "depends on the responsibility. But generally, in his upbringing, he has been a player who plays closer to goal. With that in mind, you would think that assists and goals are very important contributions for him in a match.”
Mokwena further said that the role of the player is different, and he has to go deeper to construct attacks for the club.
“He has to be a little bit deeper to construct the attack, and he's got different responsibilities, so it becomes difficult for him to be in and around the box," says Mokwena.
The 26-year-old player has been contributing a lot to the club when he joined the club, but it seems this season his performance is reducing. The club has to do something about his performance because it is affecting the player.
