Majavu Provide's Chiefs' Friday DC Appearance Update

It seems as if the Kaizer Chiefs vs Premier Soccer League saga is going to be a long one sine Amakhosi are not prepared to make it easy for the PSL's Desciplinery Committee, they ae not going to let this thing go without pulling a serious fight, it seems they are prepared tk go as far as they possibly can to make sure that they win the case.

The Premier Soccer League Prosecutor Zola Majavu has confirmed that they have charged Chiefs for failing to honour their two games in December after they wrote to the league requesting a postponement, the did not honour they League game against Golden Arrows and they did not host Cape Town City.

Majavu confirmed on Friday that Chiefs appeared but they came with an application to take the matter further to SAFA if they are found guilty, that promoted the DC to postpone the case one mone time and this time it is expected to be heard on a later date, the resolution taken was that this matter should b heard before the league come ends.

“I can confirm that the matter proceeded in front of the PSL DC where upon Kaizer Chiefs brought an application for the DC to be stayed, pending the outcome of the urgent referral to arbitration under the auspices of SAFA. We agreed that the matter should and can be postponed, however, that timelines should be put in place so that the matter won’t fall through the cracks. It was also agreed that this matter must be finalised as soon as possible, way before league is brought to an end," Majavu said.

Amakhosi believe they did the right thing by pulling a no show for the two games, they feel it would have been a high risk to go and play those two games since they had 31 of their personell testing positive for Covid-19, the number of infected person later went up to around 50.
