Manqoba Updates On Downs Flu Outbreak

Mamelodi Sundowns co-mentor Manqoba Mngqithi says a couple of players are not looking great to recuperate in time for Saturday's Nedbank Cup last.

The Masandawana mentor tended to the media in front of the Nedbank Cup last against Marumo Gallants on Wednesday, two days after the club affirmed they had experienced a genuine influenza flare-up inside the crew.

Upwards of 17 players were sidelined for Downs 3-2 win over Royal AM on Monday, with a few of them having experienced influenza.

In front of Saturday's conclusive, Mngqithi demanded they expect a positive update from their clinical group in front of preparing later in the day.

"At this stage we're not yet 100 percent sure, yet currently on match day against Royal AM a great deal of player were giving indications that they are recuperating," he said.

"Recently, I met a rare sorts of people who were coming here for the shoot, a couple of them were not looking generally excellent yet one expectations that when we get the specialists update not long prior to preparing this evening, we will actually want to sees precisely exact thing we'll have [available] for the end of the week."

Downs take on Gallants at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium at 18:00 on Saturday, when they could finish their high pitch after lifting the DStv Premiership title and the MTN8 prize.
