"Fashion is about dreaming and making other people dream" - well known Italian fashion designer, socialite and businesswoman Donatella Versace uttered these words.
In recent years some PSL stars have taken their fashion sense to the extreme making many football fans turn their heads but they tend to forget that the internet is forever.
In the PSL era we have had the privilege of having some of the best foreign defenders who took South African football by storm. In 2004 former top tier league side Jomo Cosmos had the privilege of having Valery Nahayo who was largely known as a no nonsense defender, a threat in the air and at set-pieces. In 2008 Following his exit at Jomo Cosmos Nahayo would then join DStv Premiership side Kazier Chiefs where he became a household name in South Africa.
During his time at Kaizer Chiefs Valery Nahayo won two Telkom Knockout Cup titles and also an MTN 8 winner's medal. In 2011 he would then go to join Gent in Belgium and in 2014 he made a return to South Africa where he went to join now defunct Mpumalanga Black Aces before he decided to retire from football. Following his retirement from football the former Kaizer Chiefs defender and his family would then relocate to Europe where they are currently based.
On Wednesday the 37 year old Bujumbura born former footballer took to his Instagram stories account to make a bold fashion statement. Taking to the popular platform pictured in a mall setting the former Kaizer Chiefs defender was spotted wearing a kilt - a knee-length dress which is mostly worn by Gaelic man more especially in Scotland.
As previously stated that the internet is forever Valery Nahayo is not the only known former PSL star to wear a kilt. In 2014 former Orlando Pirates striker Benni McCarthy also opted for a similar attire when he married his beautiful Scottish wife Stacey Munro.
