Al Ahly and Pitso Mosimane Bounce Back With Big Win.

Ahly Recovers With a Major Victory.

In the Egyptian Premier League on Tuesday evening, Al Ahly and Pitso Mosimane bounced back from their CAF Champions League defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns with a 4-1 victory over Pharco FC.

With Mohamed Sherif and a brace from Magdy Afsha making it 3-0 after only 13 minutes in the encounter in Alexandria, the injured Ahly were definitely looking to make a statement.

Mosimane made the decision to freshen up his midfield by recalling Afsha and Luis Miquissone to the starting eleven and they looked merciless right from the start.

Unusually for Mohamed El-Shenawy, a long-range shot was deflected into the path of Ahmed Abdel Aziz Ibrahim, who nudged the ball home in the 17th minute after El-Shenawy made a rare goalkeeping mistake.

During the half-time break, Bafana Bafana player Percy Tau came in to replace Miquissone, who was making his way back to full health following his return to injury.

While substitute Hussein El Shahat scored the fourth goal, Red Devils regained control of first place in the Egyptian Premier League, moving two points clear of Pyramids after nine matches.
