Sundowns wary of wounded Sekhukhune

Sundowns concerned for injured Sekhukhune

Prior to their DStv Premiership match at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday, Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Manqoba Mngqithi has vowed that his team will not take Sekhukhune United lightly.

Following their victory over Kaizer Chiefs last weekend, Sundowns are feeling upbeat.

Now that they are defending their crown, the Brazilians will try to keep winning.

"I believe they are strong on set pieces, especially in their crossing game with [Tshepo] Mokhabi on the left, [Thamsanqa] Masiya on the right, [who is] very quick and [has] very good delivery], and [Roderick] Kabwe on the left, who is also very strong on set piece delivery," said the observer.

The central midfield duo of Glen Motsepe and Linda Mntambo are incredibly effective at making everyone's life miserable.

We are well aware that we are playing against a very talented team that is also highly offensive thanks to the back four of Nyiko Mobbie, [Edwin] Gyimah, Daniel Cardoso, and inside, and [Daniel] Cardoso." Although they have played well this season despite a slow start, they easily could have scored more than five goals against Richards Bay in their most recent match." They have some excellent chances in that game, so these are people who are working hard and who we cannot take for granted.

In [Victor] Letsoalo and [Tshegofatso] Mabaso, two of the best strikers in the nation, they've been hired. Unfortunately, [Tashreeq] Morris is suspended for this game, but they've been playing a very offensive game with lots of crosses into the box and troublemaking. Sadly, they have not produced as many goals as they had goals, though.

They are a really threatening side, so we need to tread very carefully because it's a little bit of a banana skin, he continued.
