'See what Pitso Mosimane said about Pirates after reaching CAF Cup final

Pitch Mosimane has expressed his congrats to Orlando Pirates following their semi-final appearance at the CAF Confederation Cup.

Although Orlando Pirates suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Al Ahly Tripoli, they went on to win the overall match 2-1 after extra time against Al Ahly Tripoli in the CAF Confederation Cup Final in 2021/22.

The Soweto giants have made it to the finals of the championship for the first time ever thanks to their victory. In 2015, they came in second place to Étoile du Sahel.

Pitso Mosimane, the manager of Al Ahly and former coach of Mamelodi Sundowns, was among those leading the ovations. Accomplishments of the club prompted applause from the crowd.

"I want to congratulate my fellow South African team for making it all the way to the Caf Confederation Cup Final," Mosimane tweeted after the side's run to the Caf Confederation Cup final." "That was my prediction at the time: that they would advance to the finals of the CAF draw. I appreciate your help in making it happen."

On Saturday, Mosimane led Ahly to their third consecutive Champions League final with an impressive victory over ES Sif. Ahly of Egypt prevailed 6-2 on aggregate under Mosimane's guidance.

May 30 is the date of the final, where the African champions will face Morocco's Wydad Casablanca.

The Nigerian Pirates will take on another Moroccan team, RS Berkane, on May 20 at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium. This weekend, Berkane beat TP Mazembe in the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations.
