May 11 : 11 Years ago on this day, Scara Ngobese Passes Away.

The 11th of May will always be a sad day to the South African football fraternity. On this day eleven years ago, Emmanuel "Scara" Ngobese succumbed to his death as a result of tuberculosis.

The legendary Scara Ngobese succumbed to his death on this day in 2010, three weeks before he could even celebrate his 30th birthday.

Scara ngobese was famously known for his dribbling skills, pace, trickery and his ability to complete the 360 degree turn with the ball during the match. His style of play was often compared to the famous street Kasi football.

It can be said that his best playing days came during his time with Kaizer Chiefs under Ted Dumitru. The last game of the 2004/05 season will always be remembered as his best game ever, as Chiefs went on to lift the league title.

Ngobese's career took a downfall after the departure of Dumitru as newly appointed coach Muhsin Ertugral never liked his style of play, he remained sidelines. After the departure of Ertugral, Scara would then be released by Enerst Middendorp.

Scara Ngobese, passed exactly one month before the 2010 FIFA World Cup that was held in South Africa, an event where he would have loved to partake in. During his illustrious career he featured for United FC, Thanda Royal Zulu, Kaizer Chiefs, Zulu Royals, Tembisa Classics, Hellenic and Moroka Swallows.

The legendary Scara Emmanuel Ngobese will never be forgotten, May His Soul Rest In Peace.
