AmaZulu won their Nedbank Cup tie against Golden Arrows 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 draw after extra time. 
AmaZulu played their latest fixture in the Nedbank Cup competition against Golden Arrows away from home and won the match 5-4 after a penalty shootout as the match ended on 1-1 after extra time play. Golden Arrows who had the home ground advantage managed to score first in the match but could not hold on to their lead as AmaZulu made a late effort to draw in second half injury time. After AmaZulu got it right to get back in the match by their late goal, the match ended in a 1-1 draw. The match eventually went into extra time to determine a winner and after many failed attempts to score and a red card for the home side in extra time they ended the match still on 1-1. The match went to a penalty shootout and AmaZulu won 5-4 on penalties.
Golden Arrows opened the scoring in the 14th minute of the match as Michael Gumede scored the opening goal of the match as Arrows took the lead at 1-0. AmaZulu made a classic late comeback when Lehlohonolo Majoro scored in the dying minutes of second half injury time as he level the score on 1-1 in the 90+3 minute of the match. The match were drawn 1-1 at full-time and went into extra time as the result remained the same. Golden Arrows and AmaZulu took penalties and AmaZulu won 5-4 on penalties after Golden Arrows missed their fourth take on the spot.
