Orlando Pirates will be playing their second fixture in Group A in CAF Confederations Cup against Al-Ahly and could be topping th group again.
Orlando Pirates will be playing their next fixture in the CAF Confederations Cup, and the fixture will be against Al-Ahly in Group A. The match between the two clubs will be their second fixture in the group as their matches are back to back as their previous fixture played were against each other, which resulted in a dissapointing goalless draw. The draw did not do Al-Ahly good as they remained in the third place spot in Group A. The draw for Orlando Pirates on the other hand were a huge blow as they had the top spot seat in the group and all they had to do was win and remain in the top spot. The draw was a setback as Enyimba won against ES Setif which placed them in the top spot as Orlando Pirates had to climb off their high seat and drop to second in the group.
All clubs in Group A has played a total of three matches to date in the group and Enyimba leads in top, with Orlando Pirates in second place and Al-Ahly in third. The bottom place spot is reserved for ES Setif as they have only picked up one point in three matches. Orlando Pirates will be playing their next fixture against Al-Ahly on the 11th of April in their second meeting in the group, and they will then have the chance to redeem themselves and reclaim the top spot they achieved from day one. Orlando Pirates will also have to hope that if they win, that Enyimba draw or lose for them to top the group again. Orlando Pirates will have to win to avoid the sudden death that Kaizer Chiefs are facing at the moment. Rather pick up the points early than fight a hard battle at the end for qualification.
