Former Orlando Pirates striker Benni McCarthy has defended Thembinkosi Lorch and Deon Hotto after their costly misses in the CAF Confederations Cup final.
Defending mediocrity is not party of football but politicians. If a player doesn't deliver during a match he must be criticized not defended. How can a striker lose so many chances like Hotto did and still defend him? Next game it will be business as usual for him
Our Coaches let us down, they know African teams like defending. Why not start the game with 2 strikers,Mhango and Peprah. In caf games 3/4 of goals came from defenders. That shows we were thin up front and you side line the prolific strike like Mhango. That game was supposed to be over in 90mins.The subs was late as well,in the beginning of extra time.
I can pardon Lorch not Hotto that guy could have sealed the win in the 1st half..lorch brought us back he gave us a chance to fight back it was unfortunate he missed...a penalty
