With the January transfer window in full swing, players have ready started moving from club to club for various reasons and one prominent player has left his club.
This comes after the former Mamelodi Sundowns Players was the one who stood up against the Swallows management for not paying some of their players their December salaries.
It was reported that Mere and Swallows had smoked the peace pipe and he was back in training but the veteran has now said his goodbyes to the Swallows team after two and half years.
"I just want to thank the players, management, staff and all the loyal Swallows FC fans for their wonderful reception. It really means a lot to me.
It's sad to leave the team I gave my heart to in this manner, but that's life. Nobody owes you anything in life, " mere said on his tribute.
When it comes to retirement, the defender has ruled out any possibility of retiring anytime soon as he believes he has a big Heart that will let him continue going forward
"God has given me a big heart and I will not retire anytime soon.I love you all and see you soon," he concluded.
We wish Vuyo Mere all the best in his new TS Galaxy career.
