Kaizer Chiefs U19's performance in the Engen Knockout Challenge was recognized by the club's sporting director, Kaizer Motaung Jr., who delivered a message to both players and coaches. Sporting director Amakhosi was present with the club's first team at Marks Parks in Johannesburg on Sunday as the Chiefs Under-19 team beat Mamelodi Sundowns on penalties to win the Gauteng leg by KO Engen.
"We are all together, it doesn't matter if it's the first team or the reserve team, when we go to the MTN8 final I know you will all be in the stadium and play with us," said Kaizer Jr. a video, which went viral on Twitter and was posted by Thabiso Mosia.
Coach Ace [Khuse] and the coaching staff, we are very proud of what you have achieved. We came here to show unity and when the first team does the same, we want the young players to be there too. Something special happened today (Sunday). Congratulations to the KCYDA team who worked tirelessly to become the Engen Soccer Tournament Champion and beat the Mamelodi Sundowns.
