Njabulo Blom opens up on criticism at Kaizer Chiefs

Njabulo Blom a right-back for Kaizer Chiefs, has talked openly about handling criticism especially following Amakhosi's season-opening victory over Royal AM.

Since being promoted in 2019 Blom's performances have been all over the place.

He is one of the more talented young players given his versatility and comfort in midfield.

After a subpar showing in the Glamour Boys' DStv Premiership debut against Thwihli Thwahla on August 6 the Amakhosi academy product received harsh criticism.

The 22-year-old claims that his three years on the team have improved his capacity for handling pressure.

To be honest I think now that I've played three seasons for the team I'm aware that Kaizer Chiefs are a bad team.

In the press conference at the Moses Mabhida Stadium Blom addressed the media and said I'm aware that Kaizer Chiefs is a huge team and when you don't perform that's what the fans give you because they love the team.

Therefore I'm accustomed to it now I know how to regulate it and some of the remarks really do help me to bounce back stronger.

Kaizer Chiefs meanwhile will be looking to avenge their humiliating loss to Masandawana last weekend when they play Richards Bay on Saturday.

The club's coach Arthur Zwane is under pressure to provide the needed results quickly in light of Amakhosi's picky supporters.

Amakhosi's adversaries Natal Rich Boyz had a spectacular DStv Premiership debut season in good fashion and will enter the game full of confidence.

Despite taking place in KwaZulu-Natal at their alternate home stadium Moses Mabhida Stadium the game is a home tie for Kaizer Chiefs.
