A look at Evidence Makgopa's rise.

Bafana Bafana international young striker Evidence Makgopa is a hot prospect in the local football at the moment, teams from abroad and local have enquired about his availability with the intention of luring him away from the Lebowakgomo based side.

Baroka FC chairman Khurishi Mphahlele has publicly stated that they are willing to listen to offers for the young striker and interested parties must follow the right channels.

The Soweto giants Orlando Pirates are the latest side that is heavily interested in signing the Olympic Games star as reported on www.news24.com.

Evidence Makgopa was on fire last season 2020/21 when he scored 7 and created 3 assists for Baroka fc in the DSTV Premiership League, he was the top scorer for the Limpopo based side.

Further more he got nominated as the DSTV Premiership League 2020/21 young player of the season and he received his first senior national team call up against Uganda.

He went on to score his first brace for Bafana putting him in the history books as the second player to score on his debut for the South African national senior team as reported on www.enca.com.

The Baroka product academy was part of the 22 players that went on to represent South Africa in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games hosted in Japan, he featured in all the three games in the group stages against hosts Japan, Mexico and European giants France.

He scored South Africa's second goal in their 4-3 loss to France, tapping the ball in at a tight position after Kobamelo Kodisang send in a beautiful cross as reported on skysports news.

The Burgestford young star has experienced a meteriotic rise in international football and now he is set to be part of the Bafana squad that is set to play Zimbabwe and Ghana in the FIFA World cup qualifiers.

In the absence of Bafana's number one striker Lebo Mothiba who is battling with injuries, Evidence Makgopa will lead the front line for Bafana.

It will be interesting to see his partnership with Bafana's goal poacher Percy Tau.
