Opinion: I thought Kaizer Chiefs would be unstoppable.

It doesn’t rain but pours for our neighbours at Naturena. By signing too many players, we thought that Chiefs would be untouchable this season, only to find out that we were made to believe lies.

Everything is a mess. Baxter is showing signs of cracking under pressure. After the Carling Black Label Cup, everyone was praising the coach, saying it was a blessing in disguise to have him back at Naturena and Operation Vat Alles was in full force.

Now after four league games, everything is falling apart and it’s like the coach is dismantling every wall at Naturena with a four-pound hammer.

But the blame can’t be shouldered by the coach only because the Chiefs supporters have been part and parcel of dismantling the team. They were crying for Dube and he gave them their wish, but after the Sundowns game, they changed their tune and started crying for Njabulo Ngcobo.

Again, their wish was granted in the Royal AM game and everything went south. Four goals were served on a silver platter! Now, after these failed wishes, the supporters are calling for the coach’s head. Eish, football.

I feel for Amakhosi supporters, but the Chiefs that I know will rise again because iKhosi alipheli moya.
