Cape Town Spurs played their latest fixture in the GladAfrica Championship against Steenberg United at home, and managed to only salvage a point as they draw the match 1-1 in the end. Cape Town Spurs who had the home ground advantage managed to set the ball rolling, when Riyaaz Koopstadt scored the home side in the lead just before the half time break. Steenberg United made a comeback in the match when Edmore Chirambadare scored from the penalty spot to level as Spurs made an error in their box. Spurs had to settle for a single point at home in the end.
Cape Town Spurs opened the scoring in the first half of the match when Riyaaz Koopstadt scored the opening goal of the match in the 45th minute to lead the match 1-0 at the half time break. Edmore Chirambadare managed to level for Steenberg United when he managed to score from the penalty spot to level the score on 1-1 in the 54th minute. The match ended in a 1-1 draw in the end as they shared the match points.
