Done Deal: Kaizer Chiefs Sign 16-year-old Mfundo Vilakazi

Mfundo ‘Obrigado’ Vilakazi is officially a Kaizer Chiefs player, joining from Doornkop Students FC.

Kaizer Chiefs reserve team coach Vela Khumalo has confirmed that the Soweto giants have snapped up Mfundo Vilakazi and he revealed his plans for the teenager.

The sensational midfielder was one of the stand out players at the Philly's games in Thembisa during this festive period. He's been working on his game at Doornklop Students FC.

“There will be players who will be given a chance in the Diski Challenge in this round. Mfundo is one of those players,” Khumalo told Daily Sun.

Its been reported that Sundowns were also interested in signing the teenager, unfortunately Amakhosi beat them to it.

"Sundowns will get him when they want him. The deal was done between his parents and your fc. When he's complete product with agent, he will sign for Downs. Like that, the player will fulfill his dream move as he wanted to play for Downs. He said so on interview," wrote a user.
