Kaizer Chiefs have been told what they should do younger goalkeepers

According to Soccerladuma, Kaizer Chiefs has been exhorted on how the club ought to manage the club's more youthful goalkeepers, as they keep on battling for ordinary game-time in mentor Stuart Baxter's group this season.

According to Soccerladuma, With Nigerian global goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi being Chiefs' main right now, Brandon Petersen has had all the earmarks of being the subsequent option manager under Baxter, while Khune and Bruce Bvuma are battling to make the matchday crews, this notwithstanding the last option being called up to the Bafana set-up under Hugo Broos.

With Khune giving off an impression of being good and gone under the mentor who made him Amakhosi skipper when he worked with him somewhere in the range of 2012 and 2015 at the Naturena-based club.

According to Soccerladuma, Signs are that Bvuma could be set to contend with Petersen for the subsequent option spot all through this season, while the Soweto giants are relied upon to settle on a choice on the 35-year-old Nigerian's agreement which is set to lapse in June one year from now.

According to Soccerladuma, Previous Bafana World Cup goalkeeper Shu-Aib Walters – a major admirer of Akpeyi for his experience and structure, is concerned that with the Nigerian playing routinely at Amakhosi and keeping out Bvuma and Petersen, could be to the disadvantage of the South African senior national group.

“You have Daniel playing and doing well for getting a call-up to the Nigerian national team but it’s to the detriment of Bvuma and Petersen who are the up-and-coming goalkeepers (and) looking to cement places in the national team. So, it could jeopardize that at the end of the day,” said Walters, speaking to the Siya crew.

“I feel that, and I know I might sound a little bit bias, but I feel that either Bvuma or Brandon need to go and fight for regular game-time (elsewhere), because they are the next generation of goalkeepers that we have at the moment for the national team. Bvuma is part of the national team again, but he has not been playing as regularly as he should at club level,” added Walters to Soccerladuma.

According to Soccerladuma, Stuart Baxter does not count on youngsters as it has also been seen since he took over that he prefers the tried and tested players. This is surely undisputed because ever since he took over he has always named an experienced side on each and every game he has gone out for. This can really destroy the future of kaizer Chiefs youngsters.
