It’s done – Xavi speaks on becoming Barcelona’s new manager

It's official: Xavi speaks about his appointment as Barcelona's new manager.

Xavi Hernandez, the head coach of Al-Sadd, has revealed that he is in talks with Barcelona to become their new manager.

"It is done," Xavi says, adding that it now hinges on the talks between Barcelona and Al-Sadd.

Following the resignation of Ronald Koeman last week, Xavi wants to return to Barcelona as the club's new manager.

"I've been talking to Barca for days, it's done," Xavi said in his post-match press conference following Al-3-3 Sadd's draw against Al-Duhail in the Qatar Stars League on Wednesday.

However, it now depends on the clubs' discussions; they must come to an agreement. Barca is coming to talk to us, and we're all really excited. We'll see whether it gets completed.

"I desperately want to return home." I sincerely hope it occurs. I've signed a contract, and now it's up to the teams to work out the details. They're already aware of my situation."
