Maluleka's future at Sundowns have been revealed, see here

Mamelodi Sundowns has a squad filled with quality and talent, hence many players have barely made it to the starting line-up. The competition with Sundowns in all departments is tough and the players that are given an opportunity want to remain in the starting eleven, hence they give it their best on the pitch. It's a great headache for the Downs co-coaches Manqoba Mngqithi and Rulani Mokwena to have on their side have depth.

Over the past couple of weeks, there have been rumours concerning the future of George Maluleka at Chloorkop, as they've stated that he's on his way out. However, his representative Sean Roberts has addressed all the speculations about his client in an exclusive interview with Maluleka was believed that he would be loaned out or even sold to other clubs, as he's struggling to get game time at Sundowns. As he's believed to be the third choice in that congested Sundowns midfield, the technical team prefer Rivaldo Coetzee and even Andile Jali, allegedly.

Roberts has ended all the rumours, as he stated that the Brazilians are pleased with his performance in the first stint within the club. He's aware that he hasn't been getting game time, but the feedback has been great at Downs. "George is, obviously, fighting for his position but the reports back that I have had, are very good. We are very happy with his performance," said Roberts talking to

Maluleka took upon a three-year contract at Sundowns and moved amid the pandemic from Kaizer Chiefs last year. The Tshwane giants have a two-year option to renew their contract further. Roberts stated that the 32-year-old isn't leaving Sundowns, all he has to do is fight for his place, otherwise, he's content at the club. "He's obviously, enjoying himself at Sundowns even though there is a bit of a lack of game time. But he's not going anywhere. He's going to fight for his position, and make it happen, I guess," said Roberts talking to

Maluleka used to feature in most Chiefs games and was instrumental in their 2019/20 season performance that saw them be on pole position for more than 13 months. Nevertheless, things are not the same at Downs as he has managed to get 14 starts across all competitions in the 20 matches he played in this campaign.
