Orlando Pirates coach hopeful after club reaches CAF Confed final

Orlando Pirates co-coach Mandla Ncikazi has spoken out after his side managed to reach the CAF Confederations cup final after they managed to win by 2-1 on aggregate against the Libyan side Al Ahli Tripoli. The Buccaneers player impressively when during their first leg match in Libya as they managed to come back home with the 2-0 victory but on their second leg match, the Soweto giants were disappointing in their performance as they lost 1-0 against the visitors as they played at Orlando Stadium.

This is a match that could have turned out terrible for that Sea Robbers but fortunately at the end of the 90 minutes, they were the initial winners and are set to face off against the Moroccan side RS Berkane in the CAF Confederations cup final. Pirates coach Mandla Ncikazi considers this final match as a blessing in disguise for his club especially based on how poor they performed at the DStv Premiership, and how they failed to clinch any domestic titles, and reaching this far in a continental competition is something they have to fight for.

The Buccaneers proved many doubters wrong as they were impressive in the CAF Confederations cup tournament and they also topped their group, the likes of Junior Khanye and his colleagues at iDiski TV had doubts that the Buccaneers would manage to reach this far in this tournament, and they were proven wrong as they have and are now a step closer to be crowned as the CAF Confederations cup tournament winners.

Ncikazi admitted that his side did not have the best season, but for them to reach this cup final is something that is best for everyone especially for the faithful Orlando Pirates supporters.

Goodwill Akpabio Stadium in Nigeria is the next destination for the Buccaneers as the CAF Confederations cup final match has been scheduled to be played at the West African nation, this is a must win match for the Sea Robbers and this could also be a ticket for Fadlu Davids and Mandla Ncikazi to permanently secure their jobs at Orlando Pirates after they've been criticised heavily by the fans because of how the club had initially performed this season.
