What Stuart Baxter Revealed About This Key Player Was Unexpected| Here Is What He Said

Happy Mashiane has not played for the Kaizer Chiefs this season, according to coach Stuart Baxter.

Mashiane last appeared for Amakhosi in a competitive match in July, when he was sent off in the CAF Champions League final against Egyptian giants Al Ahly.

With Sifiso Hlanti and Sibusiso Mabiliso joining Amakhosi as new additions this season, the 23-year-old Mashiane has struggled to break into Baxter's starting lineup, much alone come off the bench.

Baxter explained why the Amakhosi product has failed to appear for the Soweto giants this season.

“He is doing very well. He is working very hard. The way we played this evening, Happy would probably be competing with Sifiso. As it was, we’ve got Mabiliso. We had enough attacking players on the field. We had Khama, Samir, Keagan, Lebo. At this moment, they are more versatile, they give us more flexibility than Happy,”Baxter spoke to the media following his team's 2-0 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus Stadium on Sunday evening.

Baxter claims that Mashiane is working very hard and he is happy with him. "He’s got to push on now and wait for his chance. When his chance comes, he has to take it.” Bextar concluded.
