Mabiliso had been given a contract extension by Amazulu, but he is said to be eager to accept Kaizer Chiefs' offer.
Sandile Zungu, the president of Amazulu, criticized the players' representatives earlier this week for brokering a deal behind their backs.
Mabiliso is expected to sign a pre-contract with Kaizer Chiefs, and Amazulu will have no say in the matter because the player will be out of contract in July
Zungu was unable to confirm whether or not he had received contact from Kaizer Chiefs expressing their desire to sign the athlete.
“I am not claiming I have not received it; I am simply too busy to know where it could have been sent,” Zungu told Soccer Laduma.
“I can only tell you what the agent told us.”
At Thohoyandou Stadium, Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt's 900th professional match as a head coach ended in defeat as Leopards had all the fight. Amakhosi, looking to improve on their 11th-place start, were disappointing yet again, playing in spurts. The Chiefs' two poorest league results were ninth and tenth.
