Final EPL table & Match review after today's games as Man City moves up to 1st position on the table

While competing against West Ham United in an enthralling Premier League match today, Chelsea were dealt a surprise setback.

After a fantastic header from Thiago Silva in the first half, Chelsea took the lead in the second half. After Jarrod Bowen pulled a foolish foul from Edouard Mendy, David Moyes' team responded quickly with an equalizer, which was easily converted by Argentine midfielder Manuel Lanzini from the penalty spot.

At halftime, Chelsea had retaken the lead after Mason Mount expertly volleyed in a long range pass from the edge of the box to give them a 2-1 advantage. The away side had led at the break.

West ham united staged a comeback in the second half of the game to claim all three points from the match, thanks to goals from Jarrod Bowen and Arthur Masuaku, which resulted in Chelsea suffering a surprise 3-2 defeat.

As a result of Liverpool's 2-1 loss to West Ham United, both Liverpool and Manchester City made no mistake in capitalizing on the situation, winning their respective matches against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Watford later in the day.

Following today's games, here is how the English Premier League table now appears.

Manchester City has moved ahead of Chelsea to take over the top spot in the English Premier League for the first time this season, with Liverpool trailing behind them in second place.

Chelsea have dropped to third place on the log as a result of their defeat to West Ham United, who have now moved four points clear of Arsenal in fifth place.
