All eyes on Cristiano Ronaldo and the 'Yorkshire Pirlo' Kalvin Phillips tonight

The last round of matches in the UEFA Nations League are on tonight before exciting European league's resume this weekend.

While Covid-19 has been a difficult period for all and sundry, some great action will at least bring a gleamer of hope to football fanatics.

All eyes will be on two star footballers - albeit for different reasons. One for his long awaited debut and the other for his long awaited goal

Juventus and Portugal ace Cristiano Ronaldo has an opportunity of finally scoring his 100th international goal when Portugal take on Sweden in a Group 2 encounter.

Portugal are the defending champions of the Nations League and they are favourites to win tonights encounter.

Ronaldo is just one goal shy from reaching a career milestone. He missed Portugal's last match on Saturday because of a toe infection.

He is, however, in contention to start tonights match.

On the hand, Kalvin Phillips, will finally graduate into becoming a Three Lion. Phillips was very influential in Leeds United's promotion charge.

He has been described as the 'Yorkshire Pirlo' because of his beautiful game.

He is all but set to start this evening - before he even plays in the English Premier League that starts this weekend. England are up against Denmark.

Leeds fans will be hoping Phillips justifies his breathless billing tonight before he joins his club for their first Premier League match in 16 years when they take on champions Liverpool.
