Tau Attracts Sheriff's Serious Interests

Barely two months after signing for the African Club of the century, it seems the former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker has attracted interest from an Moldovian side, they have ignited some serious interest on the former Mamelodi Sundowns star.

Reports emerging suggests that Sheriff have shown some serious interest in acquiring the services of the former Brighton and Hove Albion striker who have recently signed a two year deal with Egyptian giants Al Ahly, it is believed that the offer they made is lucrative.


"Sheriff who are currently ruling the UEFA Champions League Group stages have put an offer on the table of Al Ahly for the service of South African Percy Tau, even before he can kick the ball for Al Ahly. The offer is so good, it left Al Ahly confused and scratching their heads," reports suggests.

After having joined English side, the 28 year old played less than five games for the English side in three year, he was constantly loaned out to different sides in Belgium, they recalled him from a loan where he was ayong regularly and when he was back in England, he did not manage to command a regular place in the team.


South African fans caused a stir on social as they were always attacking the team to an extent that they ended up deactivating their social media pages.

Tau who will miss the next Bafana Bafana World Cup qualifiers because he was injured when the squad was announced has just resumed training with his new team this week, he will be hoping to build a strong bond he had with Pitso Mosimane during their days in Chloorkop.

Sheriff are currently on top of Group D in the UEFA Champions League, the have played two games and won two behind them are the likes of Spanish giants Real Madrid and Italian giants Inter Millan.
