ARTICLE SOURCE: MY OPINION
Manchester United fans are already excited about the rumored interim acquisition of Ralf Rangnick from Lokomotiv Moscow till the end of the season. Ralf is a German manager who has taken charge of several clubs in his homeland, including RB Leipzig, which he led from the fourth division to the Bundesliga in just six years. In 2011, he stepped down as manager to pursue a higher position as either sports director or head of football. At Lokomotiv Moscow, he was the director of sports and development.
His football skills earned him the nickname "The Professor," which he cherishes. He is credited with inventing Gegen pressing in his native country, as well as inspiring great coaches like Thomas Tuchel, Jurgen Klopp, and Jurgen Nagelsmann. Fabrizio Romano, a sports analyst, indicated yesterday that if a permanent management position is offered to him at the end of his temporary duties, he will accept it. Nonetheless, I believe the Manchester United board of directors should keep to their earlier arrangement of making him interim manager and then give him the consultant opportunity for the reasons listed below.
1. What Caused His Sudden Change Of Heart?
Ralf Rangnick appears to be a disciplined and highly respected man, based on Klopp and Nagelsmann's praise and affection. He's a focused and motivated individual who would go to great lengths to uphold his word, but having a change of heart at the last minute is weird and does not appear to be in his best interests. Could it be that the monetary offer on a consultant level is lower than the managerial level, or could it be that his students want him to return to coaching full-time? Rangnick is doing an excellent job at Lokomotiv Moscow, and assuming a similar role at Manchester United will help the club overcome the problem of choosing the incorrect managers and players who don't fit the club's system.
2. The Possibility Of Losing Him In Both Capabilities
The English Premier League is one of the toughest leagues in Europe and the globe, as evidenced by the number of outstanding managers who have been fired due to bad results, as well as the number of talented players who have failed to make an impression in the league. Without a doubt, Ralf Rangnick is a reputable manager, but anything can happen in the league. When the players are not at their best, his skill can be called into doubt, and the results suffer as a result. Not to mention, what distinguishes a great manager is not solely his tactics, but the fervor and devotion displayed by his players throughout games. As a result, if the results aren't forthcoming owing to poor execution by the players, he may be fired, taking his consulting experience with him. As a result, before making any hasty decisions, the management board should evaluate these factors.
