Kaizer Chiefs Interest In Top Forward Questioned

The Kaizer Chiefs' Interest In A Top Forward Is Being Called Into Question

There have been some questions raised about the preparations that Kaizer Chiefs made behind the scenes before they made public their rumored interest in Young Africans forward Fiston Kalala Mayele.

In recent weeks, it has been reported that Mayele has attracted the interest of Chiefs, who are said to have even put in an offer for the player. However, Yanga have been adamant in stating their position on the player, who they insist they need for their CAF Champions League campaign. Chiefs are said to have even put in an offer.

As a result of their perfect record throughout the season, Yanga has been crowned the new champions of Tanzania.

The Congolese forward, who came to the team from AS Vita Club at the beginning of the season, was reportedly overpriced by Yanga, according to information provided by other individuals.

Mayele (28), who completed the previous season in second place behind George Mpole in goals scored, has 16.

Mpole, who is also believed to be 28 years old, played for Geita Gold and led the league in scoring with 17 goals. As a result of his performance, the DStv Premiership has shown interest in signing him.

The question of how the Chiefs might have possibly expressed interest in Mayele has caused a few eyebrows to be raised.

"Although Mayele did score several goals for Yanga, when you take the time to watch him, you will gain a deeper understanding of him and discover that the Chiefs have better possibilities to pursue.

"I am aware that a player's statistics can be a source of enthusiasm and anticipation surrounding that player, but I believe that observing the person in action, which is where scouting comes into play, is more important.

"The question that needs to be answered is whether or not the Chiefs conducted their research on the player, or whether they were just given someone who had scored 16 goals, and thought that was enough.

"After asking Mayele for several tryouts or watching him play a few times, I find it hard to believe that the Chiefs would still be concerned about him.

"This is not about being negative about the player because maybe he will surprise us, but when last was a Congolese player a hit in the PSL?" asks a source. "This is not about being negative about the player because maybe he will surprise us."

Bunene Ngaduane has maintained its position as the highest-quality Congolese export during the PSL period.
