GCK Motorsport will make a triumphant return to motorsport in 2022.

GCK Motorsport has announced their extensive 2022 motorsport plans, which include participation in the inaugural all-electric 2022 season of the FIA World Rallycross Championship as well as the newly formed FIA Cross-Country World Championship.

GCK Motorsport's parent company, Green Corp Konnection, is at the forefront of the sustainable energy revolution in energy production, energy storage, and e-mobility, so the company is perfectly positioned for e-motorsport.

The team has confirmed that they will race a newly designed car that will be exclusive to the Championship, based on their GCK Exclusiv-e retrofit of the iconic Lancia Delta Integrale. The team hopes that entering the Lancia Delta Evo-e into rallycross will commemorate and resurrect the legend of the famous six-time WRC Constructor Championship-winning car.

GCK Motorsport will compete against 13 other teams, all of which will be using the Austrian-made Kreisel electric drivetrain. With 500 kW and 880 Nm available, these vehicles can accelerate faster than a Formula 1 car – this will almost certainly be very entertaining.

GCK will not only be connected to the grid in 2022, but they will also be feeding power back into it, using a combination of solar energy and power collected from green energy networks prior to race weekends. They will then use custom containers to supply electricity to recharge the batteries of all cars between races, making this new generation of World Rallycross one of the most environmentally conscious disciplines in motorsport.

GCK Motorsport's biofueled Thunder will also return to the FIA Cross-Country World Championship, and the e-Blast H2 hydrogen vehicle will be unveiled at the Dakar Rally's dedicated day to the future of Dakar.
