Kaizer Chiefs fans have found their smiles for the first time in the 2021/22 season after their team gave their Chairman a great birthday gift when they thrashed the out of sorts Chippa United 4-0 at the FNB Stadium on Saturday evening,
Zimbabwean attacker Billiat outran Chippa defender on the left hand side to lay a perfect pass for the advancing Dolly who made no mistake and gave Amakhosi an opening goal, and he returned to lay another pass which looked like it was intended for the captain of the day Bernard Parker,
who was already in an offside position, he attempted to run towards the ball, but he then realised that if he plays it, he will be flagged for offside, he then decided to leave it and Dolly Parker ran towards the ball from an offside position,
running towards the ball means he was attempting to play the ball, he should have been flagged for offside even though he did not play it, he attempted to play and that makes him offside, if he ran to the opposite direction, it could have been fine, but the fact that he ran towards the ball,
that is an attempt to play and it makes him offside. In all fairness, Chiefs benefited once again and that killed Chippa United's spirits as the goal made it look almost impossible for the the Eastern Cape side to believed they will come back and possibly find an equaliser.
Amakhosi have been getting favours from the referees off late, Jelly Chavani got himself into all sorts of trouble after he awarded Chiefs a dubious penalty against AmaZulu just before the International break,
they managed to steal a point with Dolly scoring from a penalty spot to level matters on the last minute of the game, on Saturday they got another favour with the assistant referee allowing Dolly to score while Parker attempted to play when he was in an offside position.
