The most important position to improve for Tottenham this summer is a centre back. Ben Davies has done a good job under Conte but they are looking for an upgrade at that position to play alongside Cristian Romero and Eric Dier. Joško Gvardiol would be a good fit, the 19 year old made 25 appearances for RB Leipzig this season. He is valued at £11 million, he is fast, strong, and good in the air.
The next priority will be the right wing-back. These position is obviously very important to how Tottenham play under Conte but they do not have fully satisfactory solutions on the right side side. They wanted a right wing back in January but have gone back to Matt Doherty at the moment, while neither of Ryan Sessegnon and Sergio Reguilon has been able to put together a truly convincing run of form on the left. Tottenham scouts should keen a close eye on Brighton's Tariq Lamptey the 21 year old made 22 appearances for Brighton in the league this season. Lamptey is valued at €19 million, in the first 9 games into the season, Lamptey was amang the best in the league for successful dribbles, interception, tackles success rate, and expected assists per game by a defender.
Then there is the perennial headache of a back-up to Harry Kane. Spurs have not had one since Carlos Vinicius’ loan from Benfica ended at the end of last season. It is not an easy position to shop in, but they do need someone. Gonçalo Ramos would be a good back up to Harry Kane. The 20 year old striker made 23 appearances for Benfica this season so far and scored 7 goals with 1 assist. Ramos is valued at €8.6 million.
There's a lot that needs to be done at Tottenham for them be where they were 2 years ago.
