Kaizer Chiefs are close to signing Sekhukhune United and Bafana Bafana midfielders Jusuf Maart. During the 2021/22 season, Maart was closely watched by bosses for his great game of Sekhukhune in the first season of the DStv Premiership.
The 26-year-old midfielder has played in 27 leagues with Sekhukhune and he was rewarded for consistency with another call to Bafana's 37 man's squad by Hugo Bross for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
According to sources close to the case, an offer has been made by the Soweto giants to follow former Orlando Pirates player with indications that Sekhukhune will accept the offer as it is.
Yusuf Maart is expected to join the Chiefs at the end of the season from Sekhukhun United. The source said negotiations are ongoing behind the scenes and things are looking promising between all parties involved and a statement is expected at the end of the season.
The Chiefs are expected to announce Kwinika from Stellenbosch along with other midfielder later in the season, as well as Siyethemba Sithebe from AmaZulu.
