The Buccaneers returned to winning ways after thrashing the team of choice on a five-goal thriller game on Tuesday evening at Orlando Stadium.
Pirates also kept their hopes of finishing the season on second place alive.
The club moved six points behind the second placed Cape Town City and the Buccaneers still have two games in hand.
Pirates need to win their two remaining games to secure the top two finish and qualify for the CAF champions League next season.
Speaking after the game Ncikazi thanked the players for the win after coming from a final defeat.
"I saw a confident team. My only concern is that we could have scored more. That’s the only area you wish. If you take all these opportunities that come your way," said the coach.
He added that without sounding ungrateful they could have scored all the chances they created.
The coach said the important thing is that they won the game and secured the three points.
The coach also insisted that there was no difference in how they approached the final, and has claimed that the only difference this time they took their chances.
