Orlando Pirates show renewed interest in Letlabika

Orlando Pirates have renewed their interest in Swallows star Wandisile Letlabika

This has left Swallows desperate to hold onto him ahead of the new campaign which gets underway on Friday.

Last week, Soccer Laduma reported that Pirates had switched their attention to the 32-year-old defender after losing out on Iraqi international Mustafa Nadhim.

With the Soweto giants having made a formal offer to the Birds for the player’s services.

According to well-placed Siya sources, Swallows are understood to have promised Letlabika that the team would be built around him this season in a desperate plot to hold onto the player.

Pirates hope to rebuild the team around Letlabika and they have made a good promise. That is according to sources.

However, as reported by the crew, Letlabika is open to making a move to the Buccaneers.

A source further explained that the move would make business sense for the Birds.

According to media reports, Letlabika is one of Swallows top earners.

Head coach Dylan Kerr has already confirmed that they have parted ways with two of the club’s senior players in Lebohang Mokoena and Thandani Ntshumayelo, and it now remains to be seen whether Letlabika follows the duo out the exit door.
