SuperSport United claimed maximum points against Baroka FC in their latest Dstv Premiership fixture at home after a victory, all thanks to Ghampani Lungu for setting up SuperSport United with the 2-0 win against the visitors. It was not an easy fixture but SuperSport United did just enough to overcome the challenge. The first half of the match was very competitive and ended in a 0-0 draw at the half-time break.
SuperSport United broke the deadlock in the early minutes of the second half as Ghampani Lungu found the back of the net in the 53rd minute for a 1-0 lead. SuperSport United extended their lead to 2-0 just 3 minutes later when Ghampani Lungu scored his second goal in the 56th minute. This was one excellent effort from Ghampani Lungu who was fresh feet on the pitch after he came from the bench to make a statement.
SuperSport United made a tactical change to strengthen their attacking options when they brought on Ghampani Lungu in the 46th minute of the match to replace Jamie Craig Webber. This was one worthy change in players as Ghampani Lungu showed why he deserved the game-time by scoring the double just 3 minutes apart after 10 minutes on the pitch.
Ghampani Lungu is a super-sub and SuperSport United must have been 'over the moon and back' for making the change which worked like magic. SuperSport United held onto their lead and won the match 2-0 at full-time. SuperSport United went above Royal AM on the Dstv Premiership log after the win in second place with 12 points as they sit behind Mamelodi Sundowns who is in the first place spot. Royal AM who is also on 12 points with a match in hand sit in third place for now.
